From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is developed for the quantitative measurement of human Cytochrome b5 (CYB5A), also referred to as CYB5 or Microsomal cytochrome b5 type A (MCB5). It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection. Cytochrome b5, also known as CYB5A, is a vital protein involved in electron transfer reactions and various metabolic pathways, and it plays a crucial role in drug metabolism, steroid biosynthesis, and fatty acid desaturation. Dysregulation has been linked to metabolic disorders, cancer, and neurological conditions, supporting its relevance as a biomarker for cell biology research.

The kit is validated for human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity in serum (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 88–104%, 91–105%, and 94–102%, with recovery averages of 98% (serum), 93% (EDTA plasma), and 97% (heparin plasma).
