Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA plate-based assay enables quantitative measurement of human Cytidine deaminase (CDA) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The target enzyme (UniProt: P32320), also referred to as Cytidine aminohydrolase or CDD, functions in pyrimidine salvage by deaminating cytidine and 2'-deoxycytidine for UMP synthesis. Dysregulation of CDA activity has been implicated in cancer and autoimmune disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.9%, and inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Linearity has been characterised in serum (81-119%), EDTA plasma (83-120%), and heparin plasma (88-111%) across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery ranges from 95-107% in serum and 97-109% in plasma.

The enzyme forms a homotetramer, and the kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Cytidine deaminase. It is intended for research use only in the field of epigenetics.
