Human Cystine/glutamate transporter (SLC7A11) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the detection of human cystine/glutamate transporter (SLC7A11). The assay is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric ELISA detection method.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human cystine/glutamate transporter. SLC7A11 mediates sodium-independent, high-affinity exchange of anionic amino acids with high specificity for the anionic forms of cystine and glutamate, contributing to cellular redox balance and protection against oxidative stress. Dysregulation of SLC7A11 has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
