Human Cysteine dioxygenase type 1 (CDO1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Cysteine dioxygenase type 1 (CDO1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and delivers a detection range of 0.5-32 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL.

Precision performance shows an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity was verified in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery averaged 102% (range 96-108%) in serum and 104% (range 98-110%) in plasma. The assay recognises natural and recombinant human CDO1 and is supplied for research use only within the Development Biology research area.

CDO1 is a monomeric enzyme (UniProt Q16878, molecular weight 23 kDa) that initiates several metabolic pathways related to pyruvate and sulfurate compounds including sulfate, hypotaurine and taurine. It acts as a critical regulator of cellular cysteine concentrations and plays an important role in maintaining the hepatic concentration of intracellular free cysteine within a proper narrow range.
