Human Cystatin C ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the measurement of Cystatin C in human samples. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

Manufacturer specifications report a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reagents are stable at 2–8°C for up to 12 months. The manufacturer also reports linearity of 80–105% and recovery of 86–105% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples at the recommended dilutions. The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C to allow antigen binding, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, developing signal with TMB substrate in the dark, stopping the reaction, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
