Human Cystatin-C (CST3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of human Cystatin-C (CST3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Cystatin C is a cysteine proteinase inhibitor that has been associated with kidney dysfunction, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, supporting research into disease pathogenesis and therapeutic development.

The assay covers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.4%. Linearity has been established in serum (81–117%), EDTA plasma (90–125%) and heparin plasma (92–124%) across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, and spike-and-recovery performance is given for serum (average 95%, range 89–101%) and plasma (average 97%, range 91–103%).

Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant human Cystatin-C, a secreted homodimer (UniProt P01034) belonging to the cystatin family. The reagent is reactive with human samples and is for research use only.
