Human Cystatin-9 (CST9) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cystatin-9 (CST9), with reactivity for human samples only. The colorimetric assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses natural and recombinant human Cystatin-9 as standard. Synonyms reported in the literature include Cystatin-like molecule, CLM and CTES7A.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and sensitivity of 32pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.4% and inter-assay CV 8.7%. Linearity across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 100-110%, 95-105%, 98-109% and 103-113% for serum (N=5); 88-100%, 103-113%, 88-100% and 90-90% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 103-116%, 109-119%, 104-113% and 86-96% for heparin plasma (N=5). Recovery is reported as 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma. Cystatin-9 is a secreted cysteine protease inhibitor of the cystatin family (UniProt Q5W186; NCBI Gene ID 128822; molecular weight 18,135 Da), linked to immune response, inflammation and neurological function, with dysregulation reported in cancer, autoimmune and neurodegenerative conditions.
