Human Cystathionase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise measurement of cystathionase levels in human biological samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Cystathionase is an important enzyme involved in the metabolism of homocysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid, and dysregulation of its activity has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders, and metabolic syndromes.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL with a detection range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Linearity across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples is reported between 82% and 103% at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. Recovery rates are 92-104% (average 97%) for serum, 89-105% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 91-105% (average 99%) for heparin plasma. The product is for research use only and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development for 10-20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
