Human CYP2C19/Cytochrome P450 2C19 ELISA Kit

CYP2C19 is a key enzyme involved in drug metabolism, particularly in the metabolism of commonly prescribed medications such as clopidogrel and omeprazole. Variations in CYP2C19 activity are known to impact individual responses to these drugs, making it an important biomarker for pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine research.

The double-antibody sandwich assay is read colorimetrically and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validation data provided by the manufacturer include linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) 87–102%, 85–100%, and 81–87%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 85–102%, 82–99%, and 81–95%; heparin plasma (n=5) 87–103%, 85–98%, and 81–94%. Average recovery is 94% for serum (range 87–100%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 88–96%), and 93% for heparin plasma (range 90–96%). The procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
