Human Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1 (CREB1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1 (CREB1), also known as CREB-1, in research samples. The assay is intended for research use only and is suited to applications in neurosciences and molecular biology.

CREB1 is a phosphorylation-dependent transcription factor of the bZIP family that binds the cAMP response element (CRE), a DNA sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Transcription activation is enhanced by TORC coactivators independently of Ser-133 phosphorylation. The protein participates in the synchronization of circadian rhythmicity and the differentiation of adipose cells, and is localised to the nucleus. The kit's antibodies recognise natural and recombinant human Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.98 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Recovery is 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
