Description

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-2 (ATF2) in human samples, supporting immunology research. ATF2 is a transcriptional activator that binds to CRE (5'-TGACGTCA-3') or AP-1 (5'-TGACTCA-3') consensus sequences, plays a role in gene expression regulation in response to cAMP signaling, and is involved in cell survival, proliferation, differentiation, and the DNA damage response. Dysregulation of ATF2 has been linked to diseases such as cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurological conditions.

The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-2. The reported detection range is 0.312-20ng/mL, with a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.4% and inter-assay CV is 9.6%. Reported serum recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) and plasma recovery averages 90% (range 84-96%). Linearity in serum ranges from 84-112%, EDTA plasma 96-127%, and heparin plasma 95-119% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

The protein exhibits histone acetyltransferase activity specific for histones H2B and H4 in vitro, shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus, and localizes to the mitochondrial outer membrane under genotoxic stress. UniProt accession: P15336. For research use only.
