The Assay Genie Human CVB-IgG ELISA Kit employs an indirect biotin-streptavidin detection format on a pre-coated microplate to quantify IgG-class antibodies against Coxsackievirus B in clinical and research specimens. Each kit supports 96 Assays with all reagents required for a complete run.

Coxsackievirus B is a non-enveloped, single-stranded positive-sense RNA enterovirus comprising six recognized serotypes (B1 through B6). It is the causative agent of conditions ranging from hand-foot-and-mouth disease and herpangina to viral myocarditis and aseptic meningitis, and is actively investigated as a candidate environmental trigger in type 1 diabetes pathogenesis. IgG-class serology is the standard readout for prior exposure and established humoral immunity, complementing IgM-based assays that are used to identify recent or active infection.

The workflow uses a sample volume of 10 µL combined with 40 µL of sample diluent per well, followed by incubation at 37°C, washing, biotinylated secondary antibody binding, streptavidin-HRP conjugation, and TMB substrate development. The capture antibody is specific to human IgG, with no significant cross-reactivity observed with IgM or non-human immunoglobulins under standard assay conditions.

Unopened kit components should be stored refrigerated at 4°C; reconstituted standards and concentrated detection antibody should be frozen at -20°C in aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Shelf life is approximately 12 months from manufacture when properly stored. Intended for research use only.
