Human CUBN (Cubilin) ELISA Kit (HUFI05335)

Cubilin is a large (~460 kDa) multiligand endocytic receptor expressed primarily on the apical surface of renal proximal tubule epithelial cells and intestinal enterocytes, where it partners with megalin (LRP2) to mediate reuptake of filtered proteins from the glomerular filtrate, including albumin, transferrin, and the intrinsic factor–vitamin B12 complex. The Cubilin (CUBN) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a 96-assay microplate-based research tool for quantitative measurement of human cubilin in research samples.

Researchers use this kit to investigate CUBN biology in conditions ranging from Imerslund–Gräsbeck syndrome, where loss-of-function mutations cause hereditary megaloblastic anemia and selective proteinuria, to diabetic nephropathy, where common CUBN variants have been linked to albuminuria and altered renal function.
