Human CTXI/C-telopeptide of Collagen alpha-1 (I)chain ELISA Kit

Quantitative measurement of human CTX-I (C-Telopeptide of Collagen, alpha-1 Type I) is enabled by this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, which uses a double-antibody format. The assay targets CTXI (Cross Linked C-telopeptide of Type I Collagen), associated with Uniprot P02452, and is suited to cell biology research into bone metabolism in conditions such as osteoporosis and bone fractures.

Detection relies on TMB color development, with absorbance read at 450 nm following a stop reaction. Reagents are intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Assay performance has been validated by linearity testing in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with average recoveries of 90% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma, and 96% in heparin plasma. The product is intended for research use in studies of bone resorption and the monitoring of bone-related treatments.
