Human CTX-2 (Cross Linked C-telopeptide of Type II Collagen) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Cross Linked C-telopeptide of Type II Collagen (CTX-2). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout, and is reactive with human samples. Standards, samples and controls are loaded onto the pre-coated plate, with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 95–102% at 1:2, 87–102% at 1:4 and 99–103% at 1:8, with recovery of 92–102% (average 97%) in serum.

CTX-2 is described as a key biomarker for bone resorption and degradation, serving as an indicator of osteoporosis and bone health. Measuring CTX-2 levels allows researchers to assess bone turnover and monitor the efficacy of osteoporosis treatments, making the kit a useful tool for studying bone metabolism and related disorders.
