Human CTGF/Connective tissue growth factor ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF). Built on a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, fecal extracts, and other liquid samples.

According to manufacturer specifications, the kit achieves a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL across a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Dilution linearity across serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5), and heparin plasma (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions returned ranges of 89–104%, 88–101%, and 88–104% for serum; 84–94%, 92–101%, and 84–99% for EDTA plasma; and 80–93%, 81–99%, and 82–100% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averaged 94% in serum (91–98% range), 94% in EDTA plasma (87–105% range), and 95% in heparin plasma (90–103% range). Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

CTGF, also annotated as CCN2, HCS24, IGFBP8, IGFBP-8, NOV2, IBP-8, CCN family member 2, Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 8, and Hypertrophic chondrocyte-specific protein 24 (UniProt P29279), is implicated in connective tissue development, repair, fibrotic disease, wound healing, and cancer progression, with the kit falling in the cell biology research area. The protocol involves a 90-minute antigen-binding incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB substrate development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
