Human CTCFL ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate detection of CTCFL (CTCF-like) levels in human samples, this competitive ELISA from Assay Genie is coated with antigen and uses a colorimetric readout. The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and demonstrates a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Validated linearity is reported as 83–100% (1:2), 91–98% (1:4) and 84–95% (1:8) for serum, 82–98%, 86–100% and 81–95% for EDTA plasma, and 90–98%, 85–101% and 86–101% for heparin plasma (each n=10). Recovery is given as 86–103% (average 95%) for serum, 85–104% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 87–104% (average 98%) for heparin plasma (each n=10).

The protocol follows a standard competitive ELISA workflow: equilibrate TMB substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature and pre-wash the plate twice; add 50 µL standard or sample plus 50 µL biotin-labeled antibody to each well and incubate at 37°C for 45 minutes; wash five times with a 1-minute soak; develop with TMB substrate in the dark at 37°C for 10–20 minutes; add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm. The kit is stored at 2–8°C (sealed) and should not be cryopreserved. CTCFL is a key protein involved in gene regulation and epigenetic processes, including chromatin organization, genomic imprinting and embryonic development, with aberrant expression linked to cancer, developmental disorders and infertility.
