The CTCF protein, also known as CCCTC-binding factor, is a multifunctional transcriptional regulator characterized by its 11 zinc finger DNA-binding domains that recognize diverse DNA sequences across the human genome. As a master architect of 3D chromatin organization, CTCF demarcates topologically associating domain (TAD) boundaries, mediates enhancer-promoter insulation, and orchestrates allele-specific expression patterns including X-inactivation and genomic imprinting. Dysregulation of CTCF has been linked to cancer, neurodevelopmental disorders, and genomic instability, making quantitative measurement of CTCF levels a valuable biomarker tool. This Assay Genie quantitative immunoassay enables researchers to measure native CTCF concentrations in human biofluid specimens with high specificity, supporting studies in epigenetics, oncology biomarker discovery, and chromatin biology. The assay accepts a 100 µL sample input per well and provides a quantitative recombinant standard curve for interpolation. Reagents should be aliquoted upon arrival and the standard protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the kit should be stored refrigerated and shielded from light to preserve antibody binding activity through its full shelf life. Each microplate is supplied as a single-use break-apart strip configuration within the kit packaging.
