Chondroitin sulfate N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 1 (CSGALNACT1) is a Golgi-resident type II transmembrane enzyme that catalyzes the first N-acetylgalactosamine transfer onto the tetrasaccharide linkage region of proteoglycans, initiating chondroitin sulfate chain assembly. Because this step gates downstream glycosaminoglycan elongation, CSGALNACT1 expression levels are studied as a window into cartilage matrix biology, connective tissue disease mechanisms, and altered glycosylation in tumor models. Assay Genie offers this quantitative ELISA kit for measuring human CSGALNACT1 protein in research samples, supporting research into skeletal dysplasia, GAG biosynthesis regulation, and translational glycoscience.

The microplate-based immunoassay is supplied in a 96 Assays kit format, sufficient to run a full standard curve with replicates, and is compatible with cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and conditioned media from cultured human chondrocytes, fibroblasts, and relevant tumor cell lines. Researchers apply it to correlate enzyme abundance with downstream chondroitin sulfate chain production, to explore genotype-phenotype relationships in multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, and to screen patient-derived or cell line samples for changes in glycosyltransferase levels. The kit from Assay Genie includes a pre-coated plate, detection antibody, calibrators, diluents, and a complete protocol for bench setup.

For research use only. Applications include mechanistic biochemistry, biomarker discovery in skeletal and connective tissue disorders, and characterization of human-derived specimens in cell biology and oncology workflows.
