Human CS/Citrate synthetase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human citrate synthetase (CS; also listed under the synonyms CitRate and Si-synthase; Uniprot O75390) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody, colorimetric detection format with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a standard curve range of 0.313–20 ng/mL.

Citrate synthetase is a key enzyme of the citric acid cycle, contributing to energy production through the oxidation of carbohydrates and fatty acids, and its dysregulation has been linked to metabolic disorders including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The kit is intended for research applications in the metabolism field and should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validated linearity spans 81–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, while spike-and-recovery averages 99% in serum, 92% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. The workflow uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
