Human CRY1/Cryptochrome-1 ELISA Kit

Designed for quantitative detection of CRY1 (Cryptochrome 1), this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody, colorimetric format and is validated for use with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, and components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Performance validation includes linearity testing in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with reported ranges of 82–100% / 84–93% / 84–100% for serum, 88–98% / 86–98% / 85–101% for EDTA plasma, and 89–99% / 82–99% / 80–94% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery experiments yielded averages of 96% for serum, 97% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma.

CRY1 is described as a key regulator of the circadian rhythm, with dysregulation linked to insomnia, mood disorders, and metabolic conditions, making it a biomarker of interest in related research. The procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
