Human CRP ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human C-Reactive Protein (CRP), also known as PTX1 or Pentraxin 1 (UniProt P02741). It uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, suitable for immunology research. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, urine and other liquid samples, delivering a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. All reagents should be stored at 2–8 °C, where they remain stable for 12 months.

The workflow is based on a pre-coated microplate. Standards and samples are added and incubated at 37 °C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody (60 minutes) and HRP-conjugated Streptavidin (30 minutes). TMB substrate is added in the dark for 10–20 minutes, the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Signal intensity is proportional to CRP concentration and is determined using a standard curve.

Validation data show strong linearity and recovery across sample matrices. Linearity ranges from 86–104% to 93–104% in serum across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, with EDTA plasma at 84–98% and heparin plasma at 81–96%. Recovery averages 96% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma and 93% in heparin plasma.
