Description

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cardiolipin synthase (CRLS1) in serum and plasma samples, with the wider datasheet also listing tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids as compatible matrices. The assay targets the CRLS1 gene product, also known by synonyms including CLS, CLS1, Protein GCD10 homolog and C20orf155 (UniProt Q9UJA2), a CDP-alcohol phosphatidyltransferase class-I family enzyme localised to the mitochondrial inner membrane that catalyses cardiolipin biosynthesis. Detection is by a sandwich ELISA format, and the assays are supplied for use on human samples only.

Two product variants are referenced in the catalogue sources. The standard sandwich ELISA datasheet reports a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.35 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.5% and inter-assay CV of 9.1%, with recovery in serum averaging 97% (range 91–103%) and in plasma averaging 99% (range 93–105%), and linearity data across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The ColorStep variant uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA read at OD450 with a 120-minute reaction duration and reports a detection range of 1.563–100 pg/mL and sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL; intra-assay CV values of 3.99%, 3.02% and 4.10% and inter-assay CV values of 5.18%, 3.56% and 4.51% are provided at low, medium and high concentrations respectively, with recovery averaging 98% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma and 93% for heparin plasma, and linearity ranges reported at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for the same three matrices. Both kits are intended for research use only, are reactive with human samples, and include on-plate standard curves for quantitation by OD measurement.
