Human Creatine kinase M-type (CKM) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Creatine kinase M-type (CKM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is for research use only.

CK-M is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy metabolism, especially in muscle tissues with large and fluctuating energy demands. It reversibly catalyses the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate, and its levels are a recognised biomarker for muscle damage or stress, including muscle injury, myocardial infarction and muscular dystrophy.

Reported performance for this assay includes a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Specificity covers both natural and recombinant human CKM. Spiking recovery is given as 94% for serum (range 88–100%) and 96% for plasma (range 90–102%).
