Human Corticotropin (ACTH) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of human Corticotropin, also known as adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay delivers a detection range of 0.39–25 ng/mL with a reported sensitivity of 0.10 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 10.8%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Corticotropin and is designated for research use only within the neurosciences field.

ACTH plays a central role in the body's stress response and supports the production and release of cortisol from the adrenal cortex, with abnormal levels linked to Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease, and pituitary gland disorders. Spike-and-recovery performance was 97–109% (average 103%) in serum and 99–111% (average 105%) in plasma, supporting reliable quantification in common sample matrices.
