Assay Genie provides this reagent to quantify Coronin 1A, an actin-binding protein belonging to the WD-repeat coronin family that regulates F-actin dynamics, Arp2/3-mediated branching, and host cell motility. CORO1A (also termed TACO or p57) is highly expressed in hematopoietic lineages including T lymphocytes, B cells, neutrophils, and macrophages, and plays a documented role in leukocyte chemotaxis, phagolysosomal maturation, and T-cell receptor signaling. Loss-of-function mutations in CORO1A cause autosomal recessive severe combined immunodeficiency with EBV-driven lymphoproliferation, making quantitative CORO1A measurement valuable for immunology, cytoskeleton, and primary immunodeficiency research. The microplate format accommodates duplicate or triplicate standards and unknowns per run. Reagents should be refrigerated to preserve antibody activity, and aliquots should be frozen immediately to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers commonly pair this kit with western blot validation to confirm Coronin 1A expression changes across cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
