Description

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of corin in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is intended to deliver high sensitivity and specificity for research applications. Corin is described as a key enzyme involved in the regulation of blood pressure and heart function, making it a valuable biomarker for studying cardiovascular diseases and related conditions.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 45 pg/mL with a working range of 75–4800 pg/mL. Linearity assessments across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at serial dilutions fall roughly between 80% and 103%, while average recovery ranges from 92% to 99% depending on the sample matrix. The protocol follows a six-step workflow: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm following addition of the stop solution.

Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody concentrate, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual. Most components should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months, with the microplate strips and lyophilized standard also suitable for longer-term storage at −20°C.
