This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure Connexin 37 (CX37), a gap junction protein encoded by the GJA4 gene that is widely studied in vascular biology, endothelial cell signalling, and cardiovascular disease research. The kit supports in vitro studies using prepared samples such as tissue homogenates and cell lysates from human-derived experimental models.

Connexin 37 belongs to the connexin family of transmembrane proteins that assemble into gap junction channels, allowing direct intercellular exchange of ions and small signalling molecules between adjacent cells. Altered CX37 expression has been investigated in studies of atherosclerosis, vascular inflammation, and gap junction remodelling, making it a target of interest for work on endothelial dysfunction, smooth muscle cell coupling, and vascular homeostasis. Researchers in these fields can use this kit to obtain quantitative protein measurements from their experimental preparations.

The kit is supplied as a complete microplate-format ELISA package containing all reagents required to perform the assay, with a colorimetric readout based on absorbance measurement. Each kit provides sufficient material for 96 individual determinations, is intended for research use only, and is configured for human samples.
