Human Complement receptor type 2 (CR2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables colorimetric detection of human Complement Receptor Type 2 (CR2), also referred to as CD21, Complement C3d receptor, and Epstein-Barr virus receptor. The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Complement receptor type 2.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and sensitivity of 0.22ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.1% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (N=5) across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, and recovery averages 98% for serum (range 92-104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94-106%). CR2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein that acts as a receptor for complement C3d and the Epstein-Barr virus on B and T lymphocytes, and participates in B-cell differentiation and proliferation; genetic variation in CR2 has been associated with susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus. The kit is intended for research use only within the immunology research area.
