Human Complement factor H (CFH) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie developed for the quantitative measurement of human Complement factor H (CFH) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for immunology research, where complement factor H is studied for its role in regulating the alternative complement pathway through cofactor activity in the inactivation of C3b by factor I, and through increasing the rate of dissociation of the C3bBb and (C3b)NBB convertase complexes.

Reported performance characteristics include a sandwich ELISA format with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery has been measured in serum and plasma samples. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human Complement factor H. The target protein is encoded by the CFH gene (UniProt P08603) and is a secreted member of the complement factor family involved in regulation of complement activation.
