Human Complement factor D (CFD) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Complement factor D (CFD) in research samples. Complement factor D is a serine protease that cleaves factor B when the latter is complexed with factor C3b, activating the C3bbb complex to form the C3 convertase of the alternative complement pathway. The kit detects natural and recombinant human Complement factor D and is intended for research use only in the field of immunology.

The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It has a detection range of 7.8-500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3.9 pg/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 3.8% and inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, while recovery in serum averages 84% (range 80-90%) and in plasma averages 86% (range 80-92%).
