Human Complement component C8 gamma chain (C8G) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate quantification of human Complement component C8 gamma chain (C8G) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human C8G and is supplied for research use only.

C8G is a subunit of complement component C8, a constituent of the membrane attack complex that contributes to the complement-driven immune response, with the alpha and gamma chains being disulfide bonded and the gamma subunit reported to bind retinol. The assay has a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 13pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.8% and inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, and recovery in serum is 80% (range 80-86%) and in plasma is 82% (range 80-88%). Optical density is read at 450 nm.
