Human Complement Component 6 (C6) ELISA Kit

A quantitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Assay Genie for measuring Complement Component 6 (C6) in human research specimens, this kit supports studies of terminal complement pathway activity. C6 is a single-chain plasma glycoprotein of approximately 104 kDa that joins C5b to seed assembly of the membrane attack complex on susceptible membranes. Quantifying circulating C6 helps characterize inherited terminal pathway deficiencies, complement consumption in autoimmune disease, and inflammatory burden in infectious disease models.

Each kit is configured for 96 individual determinations and includes a pre-coated microplate, calibrated reference standards, detection antibody, substrate solution, and wash buffer sufficient to complete the run. Reconstituted standards should be stored frozen at -20 °C and protected from light; working antibody and substrate dilutions are prepared fresh per the enclosed protocol. The assay is for in vitro research use only and is not approved for clinical diagnostic use.
