Human Complement C9/C9 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay is designed for the quantitative measurement of complement C9 in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Complement C9 is a constituent of the membrane attack complex (MAC) and serves as its pore-forming subunit, playing a key role in the innate and adaptive immune response by forming pores in the plasma membrane of target cells. Dysregulation of the complement system has been associated with inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making C9 a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

The kit is calibrated against UniProt entry P02748. Reported assay performance for the standard range is a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL with a measuring range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions falls within 80–105%, and recovery averages 90% in serum, 92% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma. The assay is read colorimetrically at 450 nm after TMB substrate development, and components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
