Human Complement C5 (C5) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Complement C5 in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA is supplied by Assay Genie. The assay is reactive with human Complement C5 and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, detecting both natural and recombinant forms of the target.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 11.5%. Complement C5 (Uniprot P01031) is a secreted protein central to the complement cascade; its cleavage product C5a functions as a potent anaphylatoxin and chemokine, mediating local inflammation and directing the migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes toward sites of inflammation.
