Human Complement C4/C4 ELISA Kit

A high-sensitivity sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Complement Component 4 (C4) in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. The kit is intended for research use only and is shipped on ice packs.

Key analytical specifications include a sensitivity of 2.813 ng/mL and a working range of 4.688–300 ng/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85–97%, 85–99% and 86–98% for serum (n = 5); 93–101%, 92–99% and 82–100% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 84–98%, 91–94% and 81–99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-and-recovery performance spans 92–103% (average 93%) in serum (n = 5), 90–105% (average 96%) in EDTA plasma (n = 5) and 91–105% (average 93%) in heparin plasma (n = 5).

All components should be stored at 2–8 °C, with shelf life of 12 months on the unopened kit; lyophilized standard and unused microplate strips can additionally be stored at -20 °C for longer term. The kit includes validated Bradford Reagent for total protein normalisation of lysate and tissue homogenate samples.
