Human Collagen Type X (COL10) ELISA Kit

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie supports measurement of human collagen type X (COL10) in research specimens. Collagen type X is a short-chain collagen expressed almost exclusively by hypertrophic chondrocytes during endochondral ossification, so this ELISA kit is widely deployed in studies of skeletal development, growth plate biology, fracture healing, and cartilage-related disease research including osteoarthritis and intervertebral disc degeneration.

The microplate-format kit includes all reagents required to complete the full workflow. Investigators in bone and cartilage biology, orthopedics, and rheumatology commonly use this assay to profile COL10A1 expression, monitor chondrocyte hypertrophy in vitro, and quantify collagen X release in cell culture supernatants and tissue extracts. A standard microplate reader is required but not included.

The assay is calibrated for human samples and is for research use only; not intended for diagnostic applications. Specimens should be handled according to standard protein biomarker practices: blood-derived fractions separated promptly, clarified tissue homogenates aliquoted and frozen until analysis, and reagents stored at the conditions specified in the kit insert to preserve activity across the shelf life of the components.
