Human Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRBP) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format assay from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of Cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRBP) in human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human CIRBP with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/ml. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.5% CV and inter-assay precision at 9.8% CV. Recovery in serum averages 109% (range 103-115%) and in plasma 111% (range 105-117%). Linearity has been validated across serial 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

CIRBP is a 19kDa cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (UniProt Q14011; NCBI Gene ID 1153) that plays a protective role in the genotoxic stress response by stabilizing transcripts of genes involved in cell survival. It acts as a translational activator and appears essential for cold-induced suppression of cell proliferation, binding specifically to the 3'-UTRs of stress-responsive transcripts RPA2 and TXN. Dysregulation of CIRBP has been implicated in a variety of physiological processes, including cell survival and inflammation regulation, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions.
