Human COL8 alpha1 (Collagen Type VIII Alpha 1) CLIA Kit (HUES00492)

A sandwich chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human COL8α1 (Collagen Type VIII Alpha 1) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated micro CLIA plate with a capture antibody specific to Human COL8α1, combined sequentially with a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Signal is generated by a chemiluminescent substrate and read as relative light units on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, with sample concentrations interpolated against a standard curve.

The total assay time is 3.5h with a sample volume of 100 μL. The kit reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Spike-recovery has been assessed in serum (range 90-104%, average recovery 97%), EDTA plasma (range 96-110%, average recovery 104%), and cell culture media (range 93-108%, average recovery 100%). Precision, with both intra-assay and inter-assay CV reported as <15%, shows intra-assay CVs of 8.57%, 8.99%, and 10.77% and inter-assay CVs of 9.17%, 7.45%, and 8.64% across three samples. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma, and cell culture media at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions.

The assay specifically recognizes Human COL8α1 with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human COL8α1 and analogues observed. It is intended for research use within the cardiovascular field.
