Human COL3 (Collagen Type 3) CLIA Kit (HUES00484)

From Assay Genie, this CLIA (chemiluminescence immunoassay) Kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human COL3 (Collagen Type 3) and uses a Sandwich assay principle. It is intended for use with human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The micro CLIA plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human COL3; standards or samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-HRP conjugate. After washing, a substrate solution is added and the resulting chemiluminescence is read on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, with the relative light unit (RLU) value positively associated with the concentration of Human COL3 in the sample.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of 75.00 pg/mL and a detection range of 125.00–8000 pg/mL, with a total run time of 4.5 hours and a sample volume of 100 μL. Specificity data show no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human COL3 and analogues, and both intra-assay and inter-assay CVs are reported as less than 15%. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 90–106% (average 97%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 100–116% (average 107%), and in cell culture media (n=5) from 96–108% (average 102%). Collagen type 3 is a key structural component of connective tissue, providing structural support and elasticity, and abnormal levels have been associated with cardiovascular diseases, fibrosis, and connective tissue disorders.
