Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Coiled-Coil Domain-Containing Protein 3 (CCDC3), also known by the synonyms Favine and Fat/Vessel-Derived Secretory Protein (Uniprot Q9BQI4). The double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection provides a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, and the assay is validated for human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

CCDC3 is a protein involved in mediating protein–protein interactions and participates in multiple cellular processes. Measuring CCDC3 levels can support investigations of cell signalling pathways, protein complex formation, and disease mechanisms, with research applications ranging from cancer to neurodegenerative disorders.

Linearity in serum runs 85–98% (1:2), 90–101% (1:4) and 83–91% (1:8), with comparable ranges for EDTA plasma (82–99%) and heparin plasma (83–96%). Average recovery is 92% for serum (range 85–105%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 85–99%) and 100% for heparin plasma (range 92–104%). The procedure proceeds through reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop reagent addition.
