Human Cofilin-1 (CFL1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of cofilin-1 in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Cofilin-1, listed under the synonyms 18 kDa phosphoprotein, Cofilin non-muscle isoform, p18 and CFL, and is supplied for research use only.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL and a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 10.1%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with recovery averaging 108% (range 102-114%) for serum and 110% (range 104-116%) for plasma.

Cofilin-1 is an actin-binding protein that regulates actin cytoskeleton dynamics and is involved in processes such as cell migration, cytokinesis and synaptic plasticity. Dysregulation of the protein has been implicated in cancer, Alzheimer's disease and heart disease, supporting its relevance as a biomarker.
