Human Coenzyme Q-binding protein COQ10 homolog B, mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the detection of human Coenzyme Q-binding protein COQ10 homolog B, mitochondrial (COQ10B). The assay is reactive with human samples and is for research use only.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human COQ10B. COQ10B is required for the function of coenzyme Q in the respiratory chain and may serve as a chaperone or be involved in the transport of Q6 from its site of synthesis to the catalytic sites of the respiratory complexes. The protein localises to the mitochondrial inner membrane as a peripheral membrane protein on the matrix side, and belongs to the COQ10 family.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Linearity for serum (N=5) across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was 90–100%, 98–109%, 103–114% and 101–111%; EDTA plasma gave 105–115%, 107–116%, 94–106% and 96–105%; heparin plasma gave 95–105%, 99–99%, 105–113% and 101–110%. Average recovery was 98% for serum (range 92–104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94–106%). The associated UniProt accession is Q9H8M1.
