Human Coagulation factor V (F5) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers this high-quality sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of Human Coagulation factor V (F5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target protein, and detection is achieved through a biotin-conjugated antibody and HRP-conjugated avidin with TMB as the substrate. Optical density is read at 450 nm. The detection range is 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Coagulation factor V and is reactive with human samples only.

Coagulation factor V is a central regulator of hemostasis and a critical cofactor for the prothrombinase activity of factor Xa that converts prothrombin to thrombin. Alternative names include Activated protein C cofactor, Proaccelerin, and labile factor, with UniProt reference P12259. The kit is for research use only and is intended for immunology research. Reported intra-assay CV is 7.8% and inter-assay CV is 9.1%. Recovery is reported as 87% (range 81–93%) for serum and 89% (range 83–95%) for plasma. A Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification and sample normalization.
