Human Coagulation factor IX (F9) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human coagulation factor IX (also known as Christmas factor, plasma thromboplastin component, or PTC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Linearity was evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (85–113%), EDTA plasma (95–111%) and heparin plasma (83–116%). Mean recovery is 88% (range 82–94%) in serum and 90% (range 84–96%) in plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human coagulation factor IX (UniProt P00740).

Coagulation factor IX is a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein that participates in the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation by converting factor X to its active form in the presence of Ca(2+) ions, phospholipids, and factor VIIIa.
