Human CNN1/Calponin-1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human CNN1/Calponin-1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA intended for the quantitative measurement of calponin-1 in human samples. The kit is reactive with human specimens and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Calponin-1 is a thin filament-associated protein implicated in smooth muscle contraction and cell motility, supporting its use as a biomarker in cardiovascular and smooth muscle research. The procedure follows a standard sandwich workflow using a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reported linearity at a 1:2 dilution was 88–105% for serum, 85–105% for EDTA plasma and 87–99% for heparin plasma, and average recovery across the same three matrices was 97%, 93% and 95% respectively.
