This μ-capture (trapping) ELISA from Assay Genie is engineered to qualitatively detect human cytomegalovirus-specific IgM antibodies, supporting serological assessment of acute or recent CMV infection. The trapping plate format immobilizes patient IgM, which minimizes false-positive signals caused by rheumatoid factor interference—a known limitation of direct IgM immunoassays.

Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, calibrators, enzyme conjugate, substrate solution, wash buffer, and stop reagent sufficient for 96 determinations. The workflow requires a 10 μL sample per well and produces a measurable color change on a standard plate reader, with results interpreted against kit calibrators and controls.
