The Assay Genie Human CMAS ELISA Kit quantitatively measures N-acylneuraminate cytidylyltransferase levels in human samples. CMAS, also known as CMP-sialic acid synthetase, activates sialic acid (Neu5Ac) to CMP-Neu5Ac, the nucleotide-sugar donor required by sialyltransferases for cell-surface glycosylation reactions.

This microplate-based immunoassay supports research into glycobiology, congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG), and altered sialylation patterns observed in tumor biology. Each kit supplies a complete reagent set, and the assay is intended for in vitro research use only in academic and translational laboratory settings.

The protocol calls for 100 µL of prepared sample loaded per well, and the procedure is read on a standard microplate reader. Unopened kits are stored refrigerated; reconstituted standard and detection antibody vials should be kept frozen at -20 °C between uses to preserve activity.
