Clusterin beta, also called apolipoprotein J (ApoJ), is a secreted glycoprotein involved in apoptosis, complement inhibition, lipid transport, and Alzheimer's disease pathology. This Competitive ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies the beta chain of human clusterin in cell culture supernatants and serum, supporting biomarker studies in neurodegeneration, prostate and breast cancer research, and renal injury models.

A 50 µL sample volume is added per well of the pre-coated microplate, and absorbance is measured on a standard plate reader. Reconstituted reagents should be refrigerated; unopened components retain activity through the printed shelf life when stored cold and protected from light.

The capture antibody is specific to the human clusterin beta subunit, with no significant cross-reactivity reported with mouse or rat orthologs.
