The CD6 antigen is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily, primarily expressed on the surface of mature T lymphocytes and a subset of B cells. Quantifying circulating CD6 levels is valuable for immunology research into T-cell activation pathways, lymphocyte costimulatory signaling, and autoimmune disease models such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. The immunoassay kit from Assay Genie ships with all reagents needed to run the protocol, including a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, and chromogenic substrate.
